To start off my 2023 year I head to Tashas in Mall of Africa. It was certainly one of the best coffees I experienced in JHB this far. I say the best, as I have ever since my move to Joburg, been trying to find a nice coffee spot. My critiques on coffee within Joburg haven’t been that great for several years. Until I sipped on the coffee served at Tashas. The restaurant Tashas believes that eating out should be a celebration of food, people and life.

That’s exactly how my experience was when I came to drink some coffee at Tashas, a feeling of warmth, in bonus I had a great chat with my friends while we sipped on our choice of coffees.

You might wonder why it took me this long to find a place like Tashas that satisfied my tastebuds. The answer is simple and short. Almost every other coffee café or restaurant I visited I’ve been struggling to find my favorite coffee.

My favorite is the Flat White coffee, which most stores in Johannesburg often refer to as Latte. In the science of coffee that is a no-no. One cannot call a Flat White a Latte. So that is why I was so impressed with Tashas as they were able to serve me a delicious cup of Flat White I’ve been longing to drink since my move from Cape Town.

If you are specific about your coffee choices and love a nice cozy place to buy nice coffee in Joburg.

Tashas is a good place to buy a nice variety of coffees from and most amazing food as well!
